1) WHAT IS THIS MATERIAL ABOUT?
This is a short animated video clip aiming to teach on representing 4 digits number for the grade III children up to thousand place.
2) HOW DID I PREPARE THE MATERIALS?
Based on the class III level referring to the subject and topic, I have created online learning materials (VIDEO) without voice over inn the video, since class III students have prior knowledge about the representing numbers thus I intentionally did not record voice over. While creating the materials I have used some of the shapes inserted from the insert buttons and used various animations in each picture including duration, delay timing, start with previous and motions path. Moreover, after finishing the creating the materials on power point presentation.
3) WHEN, WHERE, WHICH, WHAT AND HOW TO USE THIS MATERIAL?
This short video would be used before the activity, during the activity and after the activity to check their understanding of those representation of numbers.
Similarly this material is specially designed for Grade III in Mathematics subject on the topic 'representing 4 digits number'
The material will be used before the activity as well as during the activities that will help better understand the concept of thousand place value and to represent the numbers with the help of blocks.
4) INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO USE THE MATERIALS?
1. There are three activities that you are going to write answer individually.
2. watch the video carefully for two times and understand the how to represent the 4 digit numbers.
2. Read the instruction carefully and answer accordingly
3. In the activity 1, you are going to make a relationship between ones, tens, hundred and thousand place looking at the blocks.
4. In the activity 2, represent the given numbers with the help of blocks to check your understanding of representing 4 digit numbers.
5. Like wise in activity 3, rename the numbers looking at the models provided to you.
6. Write your answer in the comment box. Any doubt too can comment on the space provided.
